9.5. The Learning and Experimenting Should
Never End

The bigger and more complex your marketing playground gets, the greater the urgency for new learning and continuous experimentation. There are amazing discoveries about your customers to unearth and new creative opportunities to explore, which seem to multiply daily like, well, rabbits. The thing is, as soon as marketers think they have it figured out, it all changes again, particularly in the digital landscape. Which is why brands that stay relevant and vital are inherently curious about 'what if'' and 'what's next' and 'where do I go from here'? They have a healthy restlessness about them that keeps them ever curious about new ways to build strong brands. That’s Principle #9.5.

So where's the other .5? Well, this Principle isn't finished yet; in fact, it will always be under construction. The last .5 is for all the things we still need to learn about connecting with consumers, for the encouragement we need to be 'students of the marketing world' around us. Just imagine what brand marketing will look like in the next year, or in the next five years. Exciting, daunting, exhilarating, unpredictable. No matter what the future holds, Woodbine will be up for the challenge since that last .5 is also a reminder to ourselves as an agency to keep pushing and keep getting better as we head into our (can you believe it?) 26th year!
